HAPPY FAMILIES

Happy Families
I love to help families in supporting their child’s growing mind and their learning at this early age. I feel very privileged in being part of their world and to receive their support with thank you notes, and little gifts. Some parents that I have helped have become very dear friends of mine long after their child has left and gone on to school and we still meet up occasionally. Without the support of parents and grand parents these classes would not be possible and their encouragement and support gives me the confidence to carry on and build future sessions and record music. Here’s a snapshot of their kindness …
“My son Ronnie is six months old and we have been coming to Boogie Babies since he was a very young baby. Ronnie had glue ears when he was born so this session was key in terms of his musical development and co-ordination, as we needed to do more. The sessions encouraged lots of visual face to face time with mum and baby and I think this really helped us to bond. Ronnie’s ears are now clear and he enjoys the rattles in particular along with the dancing. Joan is a very fun lady! These sessions add real benefit to our local community and we have fun too”
Leanne“Joan has been a brilliant teacher and Chloe (not to mention myself) always looks forward to the class every week. Chloe loves singing and dancing and meeting the other children. The way the children are encouraged to shake hands and greet each other children helps build their confidence in meeting new people. Chloe loves singing and dancing to the wide range of music (a lot of which was new to myself) and enjoys using all the instruments and colourful equipment. She is constantly singing and dancing at home and we have to pretend that we are at Joan’s class. The lessons are very well structured with different themes each term. As well as learning all the different songs the children learn lots of social skills, sharing, taking turns and listening etc., and now that she is attending pre-school she has been praised for her attention span and confidence which I am sure have been improved by this early learning experience. Chloe has made several good friends in the class and it is very useful for grandparent carers who normally have limited access to other groups of friends with children. I shall continue to take Chloe to Little Hands Music until she h as to go to school and hopefully, by then, I will have other grandchildren to take to the classes”
Mrs G.Nullis“Great opportunity to share a learning experience with my grandson. He loves to practice and sing songs in the week”
Unknown“Jazmine is having fun; good class so keep it up!”
“Great fun for babies. Joan is lovely.”
“We’ve found Boogie Babies has helped Jackson to socialise and interact with other babies.”
“Sam looks forward to coming to music each week and enjoys singing the songs at home with me.”
“This group is a fun group to be a part of. It is very clear to see that my daughter is positively influence by all aspects of the group. Singing songs together allows me to learn the songs to sing at home; I feel as though my daughter recognises the songs from the group. The group also allows my daughter to explore instruments and the different beats and rhythms of songs. There is a great variety of songs from quick snappy songs, to slow sensuous music. We look forward to our weeks’ music group with Joan. Thank you Joan.”
Feedback from class after research“An excellent, fun and educational class. Fast moving class that doesn’t get boring for the children.”
“The class has increased my child’s communication skills such as waving, clapping and nodding whilst also enhancing good social skills like the ability to sit with other babies on command.
Birdie Small“The children love playing all the instruments but they have also learned to tidy away too! The grand finale was an array of beautiful twinkly lights on the ceiling which held the little ones in awe. It is a fabulous learning activity for all of the young children. Joan is the Pied Piper of music! All sessions are great and varied and organised in such a way that all children are involved in all activities.”
Unknown“A very big thank you for all of your wonderful work – I can’t believe James has been coming for 4 years; it has gone so quickly! He has so looked forward to it every week and will miss you terribly. The classes have certainly helped his confidence and sense of rhythm! Thank you once again. Look forward to the twins joining next year!”
Ann“Thank you for 3 memorable and wonderful years. We have had great fun with Isabelle! See you in September for another 3 years with Emilia!”
Cath and Izzy“Thank you very much for all of your hard work and everything you have done for me and Chloe. It has been very appreciated and we have loved it.”
Cheryl and ChloeEvery child should, if possible be given the opportunity to go to Boogie Babies and Little Hands Music run by Joan Wallington. All three of my children went Joan’s Baby classes and then Little Hands Music and they are all now confident, happy little men. I attribute not only their sense of rhythm but the small life skills they have learnt, such as a simple please and thankyou to Joan. She manages to create a learning environment with a fun and relaxed atmosphere which provokes the children to get involved and participate.
